Little curator Inside a messy head Sorting paperwork While you lay in bed Flashing pictures Asking what you see Little doctor Nightly therapy When I lay And my mind is awake Like a light Keep me up night Mini Sigmund Dissecting parts of me No prognosis Cleaning the debris It’s tradition This cerebral dance I’m so tired I’ll give sleep a chance When I lay And my mind is awake Like a light Keep me up night When I lay And my mind is awake Like a light Keep me up night

Rewrite 02:34
I try to rewrite And rewrite And rewrite And rewrite again Over and over I try to rewrite And rewrite And rewrite And rewrite again Over and over I want to stay in I want to go out I want to stand up I want to sit down I never know which Way is right Wish I could just try Wondering when I should go Wonder if time Would ever slow down for me I try to rewrite And rewrite And rewrite And rewrite again Over and over I try to rewrite And rewrite And rewrite And rewrite again Over and over

I’m taking shape In a way It’s not like me to try Figuring form Feels like choice now I think it might be Life doesn’t wait It will carve And create you from clay Build or be torn You’re the mark or you Are the archer In the end Break or bend We all turn into something By design Time defines We all turn into something In the end Break or bend We all turn into something By design Time defines We all turn into something

Try Again 04:06
Walk around A satellite I’m leaving behind All the thoughts that drown me Mull a while An orbital I’m turning inside Discern what worry taught me All this time I wanna make Something bigger To take away What’s the point I can’t say But I keep trying To find a way Talk around Matter fact I’m scaring myself To stay where safety got me First a step Then a fall I’m cutting the wire Trusting what will catch me All this time I wanna make Something bigger To take away What’s the point I can’t say But I keep trying To find a way

about

This project ended up being a journal entry of sorts. Written during a vacation in which I struggled with different parts of myself and frustrations mostly related to the space between how I am and how I want to be. The musical composition of each track was the result of however I was feeling at the time of each session, and the lyrics are ruminations on how whether actively or passively, we all turn into something. Taking control over that is the work of life.
